I'm Done Right Now
I am sick of keeping up with something I truly don't put much thought into lately. As you can see I haven't updated since beginning of October and with my busy busy work lifestyle and taking the time to be with the husband, I am going to take an extended leave of absense from the blog world and focus on whats really important in my life.
Thanks for all the feedback and hope to reconnect soon...
Will update if any big news presents itself..
Love & Peace
Today is a Great Day
Once again, I feel overwhelmed with emotions and love towards my husband. I came home from working out at gym for almost 2 hours last night and he was cleaning house and wiping down the fans from all the dust. He then made it a night just for my "pleasure" and I will leave it at that... ***WINK WINK***
Just found out today that the HR Director is pregnant and everyone is tickled with excitement. Our dept & others will be moving this Thursday evening to another office due to the growth of our company here in Corporate office. I am pretty much on top of everything that needs to be done beforehand and I am happy to be in a different office. Everything is boxed and labeled for movers.
Only 1-1/2 weeks til we get down to the beach, time sure has flown since we were down there last. I am looking forward to getting away and being with hubby all day and night, doing as we choose and having plans except HAVE FUN. Being that it is my b-day, I am pretty happy with turning 30 this yr....I am taking much better care of myself and just living a healthier lifestyle which is beneficial to my future. I expect the trip will be my gift from Ben which works for me; this is what I wanted to do --be at the beach for my b-day weekend~!
Anyway life is busy and hectic and I am loving my life right now. My sister is finally engaged and already talking about details she is looking at for her special day.
Toodles for today, just wanted to update. I am leaving shortly for the night.
Another week has almost passed (again)
The Aerosmith/Motely Crue concert last Thursday was AWESOME. Lots of lights, fireworks, visual graphics on screen and good music! The weather was great (60 degrees) and beautiful night for a show. There was quite a crowd on the lawn and we all rocked out to every song until 11pm. It was one fo the better shows I have seen in past few yrs.News, News..First ...Good news...I've lost 15 lbs since I joined Bally's, even w/ cutting down my exercise because of stress fracture on left ankle. My body fat went down 14% which is a BIG deal! That was great news to me, even when I thought I couldn't get to this point. Second, I am a proud sister of a Bride-to-be! My sister will be exchanging vows with her boyfriend of 6 yrs, Greg. Monday night he proposed to her in NYC on the Observation Deck of Rockafeller Center. They plan to wed in Fall 2007. Their daughter, Anjaneya, will be their flower girl (she will be 5 when they get married).Third, we spent Sunday afternoon on Lake Wylie with a guy-friend & boss of hubby on his boat. It was just the four of us and we had a great time. I will upload some pics tonight of the fun we had, we all tried the "flying raptor tube". We were so high off the water and the boat was so awesome to ride in. We spent a good 6 hrs on Lake and took a bunch of pictures. As for the rest of what's going on, my job is very demanding and have a lot of deadlines. Everyday I am constantly busy and I am loving it! I know how to assist the U/W & Associate U/W so I am good all the way around. Everyone is happy for me with this new opportunity, as much as I am. I am learning so much and hope it keeps going like this. We will be moving sometime in the next couple weeks to another building in the same area. We have outgrown our current office and expanding to a differnt building for all new people. It is quite exciting for me, as I love being in a new environment and getting things ready for that. We now have someone to assist with the submissions as I learn more of the policy/binder stuff and eventually take classes to improve my knowledge of Underwriting processes.Life with Ben is still going very well. We have our moments of aggravation/frustration but we keep moving on & keeping our communication open. I wish we never had to go thru what we had in the past two yrs but it was all part of where we are Today. We are truly happy and even more In Love. All of the family are very supportive of us working things out and rebuilding our committment to one another. It hasn't been easy but we take it day by day, it helps that counseling is very important this time around!Today I booked our weekend getaway in October. We will be heading down to Myrtle Beach from Fri 10/13-Mon 10/16; it was my choice to spend my 30th B-day at the beach this yr! I am just happy about being away & at the beach, being together for 3 days straight. Other BIG news, my g/f Valerie & her husband are expecting their 1st baby this weekend!. I am on the call-list when she delivers Cameron and I can't wait to meet their new bouncing baby boy. She has been my best friend for the past yr and we are so proud to be part of her new path in marriage.Well back to work for me....update you all as things happen!
KICK START MY HEART.....GIRLS GIRLS GIRLS...
AEROSMITH AND MOTLEY CRUE IN CONCERT TONIGHT IN CHARLOTTE...
OK, can you tell I am way too excited for tonight's show that begins at 7:30pm??? We have lawn seats & planning for a great night of music, dancing and good times. More excitement about the wonderful gift from hubby, Cannon 7.1 megapixel camera, for my Anniversary gift!!! Yes, I have the hook up and looking forward to using my new toy tonight. We already have bought a 1.0 gb memory card for it so we can take a TON of pics tonight. I just hope they look as good as I expect. This will be my 3rd Aerosmith concert and 1st Motley Crue show I have been attended.
Has it been almost a week since I did an entry? Time sure does fly. We had a relaxing, "fun" weekend celebrating our 5 yr Anniversary, had dinner at Outback and had drinks afterwards. We just spent a lot of time talking and reminiscing about our special day and honeymoon. We did not make any plans because we are saving our $$ for our upcoming Myrtle Beach trip in Oct for my b-day....
This week has been flying by so quickly and today we had a new hire start within division as an Admin Support to alleviate some work from us. We also found out IT & SRU (my division) will be moving to a different building in the same center we are in now, so next week should be even more exciting. I am mostly trained on Specialty Risk U/W so now to a constant flow of work & routine.
All is great in Porta-villa and only getting better...will post some pics from our concert tomorrow if I can get them uploaded correctly...HEHEHE
Have a great night...
HAPPY 5 YR WEDDING ANNIVERSARY BEN!!
Sorry for the not so great pics but here they are...Our Wedding day, TODAY IS OUR 5 yr Anniversary & I feel as Happy as I did when we Walked Down the Aisle. I remember our day as if it was yesterday, I was a complete basketcase all morning, stressing over all the small details to make the our big day perfect. We miraculously had the most blessed day, as it happened 5 days after 9/11/01, but we married in Howell, NJ at St. Veronica's Church at 3pm. The day was picture perfect, the weather was beautiful, 75 degrees and blues skies all afternoon, the sun was a bright as my bridal glow!
Here is a picture at the reception....I was stress-free, having a ball and making every minute count that night... I've also attached a pic from our honeymoon at a 5 star resort in Playacar, Mexico. We sure got tan and had an absolutely great time. It was all inclusive resort so we drank oursleves silly for free and tried all sorts of differnet beverages. We even booked a 1 hr massage together at the resort and relaxed away all our stress...we took day trip to the Tulum Ruins, Cancun, Cozumel; we snorkeled and swam in the most crystal blue seas and enjoyed one another everyday. Today is not different in many ways. We love one another more, are devoted to making this marriage work and knowing it takes had work. Our vows have meant something to us everyday and I only hope we can last forever. To have and to hold until death do us part....I truly believe in these words today and forever.Ben & I are meant to be together and we always will.As I sit here now, I am glowing brighter & brighter, with every thought of how lucky we truly are. He is someone who can genuinely love me heart n' soul for the rest of my life. He shows his love and deep devotion as everyday comes and goes. His warm body lying next to me every morning is just even more reassurance of the committment he shares with me. So many things have changed over the past year and I am proud of what has been accomplished within our relationship. Well, I won't sit here and go on & on but I will say, I love my husband more today that I ever have and the connection we have is going strong!
Happy Annivers Baby...We are so very blessed.
Wow..its been a while..
Yes, I have been definitely lacking in my daily or more frequent entries lately. With my new job and work load, I am having less time for blogging and such. I apologize, never think much of doing updates unless something major has occurred or whatever.. My job is very demanding and labor intensive, I love it thoroughly!! I feel more respected and looked at with higher regard in the office on top of it. I have complete independence when neccessary and learning so much daily. They plan to send me to some Underwriting classes so I can come more familar with processes. This is the biggest thing that has happened for me with my career & I am very proud of my strong ability to work hard.
My #30th Birthday...The plan has been made and we are going to Myrtle Beach, SC!! It's just over a 1 month til my BIG 3-0 & we are planning to go down to the beach for 3 nights and 4 days. Leaving Friday night after work and coming back to Chlt on Monday 10/16. I am pretty excited already and have plenty of time to plan it out. Both of figured it would be perfect summer/fall weather, less crowds and be able to shop, play put-put and anything else (besides rides) to do. We will stay at the same resort--The Caravelle Resort (newly rennovated) which we LOVE and enjoyed so much this trip a week ago. I just look forward to being at the beach, listening to waves breaking at shore and walking up & down te beach with my hubby. I am taking off Monday (my B-day) & Ben will take off Saturday and Monday from his job. Otherwise not too much going on at home or work. Just busy, working out and getting back into the old routine of daily workouts. I have dropped 10 lbs since I started this healthier lifestyle under 2 months ago, but I had to take it very slow due to the ankle/heel situation, so now is the time to get back in the game and be where I need to be physically. Like I mentioned previously, I want to lose & be at my goal weight within 6 months (110 lbs), which I feel can happen IF I continuously work on my body and strengthen my weak areas. Watch what I eat more and just be more health conscious. I want more than anything to be thinner, toned and healthier..which included quitting smoking cigs on my B-Day. Yes, it will be hard but I know it is best if I want to remain healthy.Next summer,I want to be proud of my body and not have any shame or hestitation about what to wear, and be happy with myself at all times! Will update again once things quiet down a bit...Be well and smile always!
I Want 2 Be @ The Beach....
My Long Holiday Weekend ROCKED!!! It ended up being the most memorable and wonderful time we had in some time. On Sunday morning Ben & I wanted to do something FUN and away from home so we decided to pack up and headed down to Myrtle Beach, SC!! It didn't take much convincing Ben to get away for a couple days & we were quickly on our way. I called the Caravelle Resort where we like to stay and got a great deal for two nights in a King Suite-OCEANFRONT. We took our time getting down there and made a wonderful ride of it. We got to Myrtle Beach mid-day and it was HOT and breezy. The Resort was recently renovated and it was even more beautiful. We checked in and got to our room...OMG let me say I felt like we were in paradise!!! The room was amazing, on the 14th floor, king "heavenly" bed, HUGE bathtub, and a 42" Plazma Flat Screen TV on the wall. The view of beach from balcony was perfect and picturesque.....
Our day/evening was fun, we ate some good food and headed over to Pavilion for rides and shopping. I love being at the beach anytime, but since it was Labor Day Weekend, it was even better. We shopped, rode amusement rides (a few) and hung out on the strip. We got back to our room about 12am and pretty much called it a night...
Woke up to early to waves crashing outside our balcony...Oh what a sound!! We "enjoyed" our early morning together, wishing we did live closer and it was a longer weekend that we could stay there. Being on the beach is something I miss so much being here in Charlotte. Granted it is less than 4 hrs to coast or mountains. Both of us relaxed and chatted about what we were wanting to do all day, since we didn't have a time frame as to when we had to get home. We left to eat & decided to partake in some good ol' Mini-Golf. We played across the street from the beach and had a blast. We then drove back to the Resort to change into bathing suits and get ready for a day at Pavilion on rides (they opened at 1pm). We rode the rides all day long as many times as we chose to, got soaked and acted like a couple kids on vacation. We didn't any lines or hold-ups since a lot of people left in the morning to head home. We shopped some more and took in the perfect Labor Day weather. It was about 85 degrees and sunny and both of us got some sun too.
We returned to Resort and hung out in the hotel room, we were debating on what time we should head home, so we got showered and packed up. We definitely did not want to leave, it was a great two day stay. Before we knew it, it was 8:30 and we were ready to head home to Charlotte. The trip home was good, it was just very dark, boring and long (as always when coming back from a trip). We got home around 12:30 am and crashed out on bed as soon as we were unpacked.
Today is very quiet in the office and I will be heading home early because no one is here today in my dept. Tomorrow everyone will return to office and work load will once again be steady and I'll be learning more.....
Hope you all had a great Holiday and I will update as soon as I can. :0)
